The intra- and interstrain diversity of genetic alterations in Klebsiella pneumoniae after exposure to colistin was investigated. Four colistin-susceptible K. pneumoniae strains with different sequence types were exposed to 2 mg/L colistin, the average steady-state plasma concentration.
