Most lung transplantation immunosuppression regimens include tacrolimus. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in genes important to tacrolimus bioavailability and clearance (ABCB1, CYP3A4, and CYP3A5) are associated with differences in tacrolimus pharmacokinetics.
