Desmoplakin mutations are associated with a wide variety of phenotypes affecting the skin, nails, hair, and heart. A 21-month-old boy was born with multiple erosions resembling epidermolysis bullosa, complete alopecia, nail dystrophy, palmoplantar keratoderma, and areas of follicular hyperkeratosis.
