Waldenströms macroglobulinemia (WM) is a B-cell malignancy characterized by high level of monoclonal immunoglobulin M (IgM) paraprotein in blood serum and associated with the bone marrow infiltration by malignant cells with lymphoplasmacytic differentiation.
