The master regulator, DnrI of Streptomyces peucetius is a member of the family of transcriptional activator, Streptomyces antibiotic regulatory proteins (SARP), which controls the biosynthesis of antitumor anthracycline, daunorubicin (DNR) and doxorubicin (DXR).
