Rothmund-Thomson Syndrome (RTS) is a rare autosomal recessive disease which manifests several clinical features of accelerated aging. These findings include atrophic skin and pigment changes, alopecia, osteopenia, cataracts, and an increased incidence of cancer for patients carrying RECQL4 germline mutations.
