Chloroplast simple sequence repeat (cpSSR) markers previously reported were used to analyze chloroplast diversity of Chinese grapes. Nine cpSSR primer pairs from the chloroplast genomes of citrus and tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) were found useful for analyzing the grapes chloroplast genome (cpDNA).
