BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The COSMOS study was a phase 2a clinical trial that showed high cure rates of genotype 1 chronic hepatitis C (CHC) and a favorable side effect profile using a 12-week regimen of simeprevir + sofosbuvir (SIM + SOF).
