Nosocomial transmission of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) was ascertained by 24-locus mycobacterial interspersed repetitive units-variable number of tandem repeats (MIRU-VNTR) and spoligotyping at four hospitals in the Republic of Moldova, a high MDR-TB burden country.
