BACKGROUND: The thyroperoxidase (TPO) genetic variants in thyroid carcinoma is scarcely reported. OBJECTIVE: We report on a pedigree of thyroid papillary carcinoma and hypoechoic thyroid nodules with the TPO gene mutations.
