CONTEXT: Granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) has been commonly used to treat neutropenia caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and organ transplants. Improved in vitro efficacy of G-CSF has already been observed by conjugating it to polyethylene glycol (PEG).
