PURPOSE: Histiocytoses are rare disorders with heterogeneous prognosis. BRAF(V600E) mutations have been observed in half of patients with Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) and in 50% to 100% of patients with Erdheim-Chester disease (ECD) patients.
