AIM: Pre-eclampsia (PE) is a complex disorder of pregnancy with unknown etiology. FAS-mediated apoptosis is assumed to prevent the development of PE; therefore FAS and FAS Ligand may be represented as candidate genes involved in PE pathogenesis.
