AIM: Pre-emptive irinotecan dose reduction for UGT1A1*28 homozygotes may result in reduced risk of severe neutropenia and diarrhea. However, clinical utility and cost-effectiveness are dependent upon such a dose reduction not impacting irinotecan efficacy.
