Acetylation phenotype was determined in 184 diabetics: 102 patients with Type I (insulin-dependent) and 82 patients with Type II (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes mellitus, who underwent complex investigations to assess the development of sensorimotor and autonomic neuropathy.
