INTRODUCTION: The HPA-15 antigen system is characterized by a low antigen expression on platelets. The antibodies against this antigen are implied in fetal/neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (F/NAIT), post-transfusion purpura, and refractoriness to platelet transfusions.
