Pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) is a broad-spectrum angiogenesis inhibitor that displays potent antimetastatic activity in multiple tumor types. We have previously shown that PEDF prevents primary tumor growth and metastatic spread of human melanoma in mouse experimental models.
