Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory process due to oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) accumulation in macrophages. We investigated the involvement of microRNAs in oxLDL accumulation and inflammatory response in macrophages. The expression of miR-146a decreases under oxLDL stimulation.
