L-Rhamnose isomerase (L-RhI) catalyzes the reversible isomerization of L-rhamnose to L-rhamnulose. Pseudomonas stutzeril-RhI, with a broad substrate specificity, can catalyze not only the isomerization of L-rhamnose, but also that between D-allose and D-psicose.
