We report the cytogenetic study of 28 neurinomas; sixteen of them were also analysed using 11 polymorphic DNA markers for the loss of alleles of chromosome 22. Partial or total loss of chromosome 22 was found in nine cases. The results of the two approaches appear homogeneous, however, three tumors that yielded only cells with normal karyotypes demonstrated loss of constitutional heterozygosities. One of the...
