PURPOSE: To demonstrate the role of N-cadherin (N-cad) in maintaining the progenitor status of primary human limbal epithelial cells in vitro. METHODS: Immunohistochemistry and immunoelectron microscopy against N-cad was performed in human limbal tissue.
