OBJECTIVE: To study the epidemiological features of hantavirus in rodents in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province. METHODS: Rodents were captured in Wenzhou, where hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) had been endemic. Hantavirus antigens in the rat lungs were detected by immunofluorescence assay (IFA).
