In order to evaluate the mechanisms leading to neuropathology in Mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIA (MPS-IIIA, Sanfilippo syndrome), we have harvested and cultured primary neural cells isolated from the cerebellum of newborn and adult MPS-IIIA and unaffected mice.
