Bis-(3'-5')-cyclic-di-guanosine monophosphate (c-di-GMP) is a bacterial signalling molecule produced by diguanylate cyclases (DGC, carrying GGDEF domains) and degraded by specific phosphodiesterases (PDE, carrying EAL domains).
