Combination therapy with A1110U, an inactivator of the herpes simplex virus (HSV) and the varicella zoster virus ribonucleotide reductase, and acyclovir (ACV) was evaluated for treatment of cutaneous herpetic disease in athymic mice infected on the dorsum.
