OBJECTIVE: To identify the fibrinogen (Fg) gene mutations in a Chinese pedigree of congenital afibrinogenemia. METHODS: The plasma Fg activity and protein of the proband and his family members were detected. Genomic DNA was isolated from the peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
