Nudix hydrolases are a family of proteins that catalyze the hydrolysis of a variety of nucleoside diphosphate derivatives. Twenty-four genes of the Nudix hydrolase homologues (AtNUDTs) with predicted localizations in the cytosol, chloroplasts, and mitochondria exist in Arabidopsis thaliana.
