Histamine plays an important role in the regulation of various immunological functions. To evaluate the role of histamine in contact hypersensitivity, contact dermatitis was induced with dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB) in histidine decarboxylase knockout (HDC-/-) histamine-deficient and wild-type mice.
