Lectin from the mushroom Polyporus squamosus (PSL) has a unique carbohydrate-binding specificity for sialylated glycoconjugates containing Neu5Acalpha2,6Galbeta1,4Glc/GlcNAc trisaccharide sequences of asparagine-linked glycoproteins.
