A method is described that allows the sequencing of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products containing CACA repeats. The method was tested using a DNA polymorphism that exists at the 3' end of the dystrophin gene. This polymorphism consists of a variation in the length of a CACA dinucleotide repeat.
