The apolipoprotein E (ApoE) gene polymorphism resulting from nucleotide substitutions in exon 4 was analyzed in Russian and Tatar patients with myocardial infarction (MI) from Bashkortostan. Alleles epsilon 2, epsilon 3, and epsilon 4 were identified by PCR.
