OBJECTIVE: To detect the association of apolipoprotein E(apoE) gene polymorphism with early-onset coronary heart disease(CHD) and to evaluate the effect of apoE gene polymorphism on plasma lipid levels. METHODS: The apoE genotypes of 52 early-onset CHD patients (aged 38-55 years), 161 aged CHD patients and 180 controls were determined by PCR-RFLP.
