OBJECTIVE: To estimate all cause mortality from untreated familial hypercholesterolaemia free from selection for coronary artery disease. DESIGN: Family tree mortality study. SETTING: Large pedigree in Netherlands traced back to a single pair of ancestors in the 19th century.
