We report the evaluation of MHC class II polymorphism in the population of Turkey. HLA-DRB1, -DQA1 and -DQB1 have been investigated by polymerase chain reaction and sequence-specific oligonucleotide probe hybridisations (PCR/SSO) and sequence-specific priming (SSP) in 250 randomly selected healthy individuals.
