The distributions of some genetic markers in 106 Sardinian individuals with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) and in a control sample of 186 nondiabetic Sardinians were studied. A strong association of IDDM with some phenotypes of ACP, PGM1, C3 and GC genetic markers was found.
