This study examined the applicability of rep-PCR genomic fingerprinting to molecular typing of Phaeoacremonium and Phaeomoniella species found on grapevines and associated with the esca syndrome. Fingerprints obtained by rep-PCR were compared with those obtained by microsatellite-primed PCR.
