<title>Abstract</title> <p><bold>Background:</bold> Tuberculosis (TB) is the second leading cause of mortality from an infectious disease worldwide. Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), where rifampicin-resistant TB is the most contributor, remains a global health threat.
