Burkholderia cepacia complex (Bcc) bacterial isolates from onion bulbs with rot in the Tohoku region of Japan were identified using a pathogenicity test, phenotypic characterization, restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis, and phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA and housekeeping genes.
