Among leafy vegetables, lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is one of the most important crops in Hungary because it is cultivated and sold throughout the year. From January 2017 to August 2018, a disease on lettuce (cv. RZ Iveta) was observed in a heated commercial greenhouse in Southeastern Hungary (Forráskút, Csongrád county, GPS 46.3586890, 19.9294550), with an incidence of 5 to 10%.
