Since January 2015, lettuce big-vein disease (LBVD), a soil-borne disease vectored by Olpidium virulentus (Sasaya and Koganezawa 2006), was observed on lettuce fields in the Central region of Colombia, with a prevalence of 30 to 40%, estimated from 96 lettuce fields.
