<title>Abstract</title> <p><italic>Background: </italic>In patients with severe Glanzmann thrombasthenia (GT), a genetic platelet surface receptor disorder of glycoprotein IIb/IIIa (integrin αIIbβ3) that results in prolonged and chronic bleeding, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is the only curative treatment option.
