Oilseed rape cultivars possess inadequate levels of resistance to light leaf spot disease, caused by the ascomycete Pyrenopeziza brassicae Sutton & Rawlinson. High levels of resistance to this disease were found within wild accessions of Brassica oleracea and B. rapa.
