<title>Abstract</title> <p> <bold>Introduction</bold> Genetic mutations contribute to around 10% of breast and 25% of ovarian cancers, with one third of patients having a familial cancer history. The German Consortium for Familial Breast and Ovarian Cancer (DK-FBREK) was founded in 1996 to improve care for these patients.
