Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS) is a ribosomopathy characterized by neutropenia, pancreatic insufficiency, skeletal defects, and predisposition to leukemia. Most cases result from biallelic SBDS mutations that impairing 80S ribosome and polysome assembly.
