Pm-fortilin/TCTP is a highly expressed protein in white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) infected shrimp, Penaeus monodon. It was demonstrated in insect cell line that Pm-fortilin could down regulate the expression of WSSV early genes and inhibit viral replication.
