Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) is a leafy, annual, solanaceous plant grown commercially for its leaves. In China, the seed area of tobacco was over 14,000 km², and the yield of tobacco leafage increased to 31.32 million tons in 2011 (Meng et al. 2015).
