<title>Abstract</title> <p><bold>Background:</bold> Specific gene expression profiles correlate with recurrence of breast cancer in lymph node-negative patients. In contrast, insufficient knowledge is available regarding tumor-specific gene expression in patients with lymph node metastasis before surgery.
