Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a widely grown commercial crop in China. Extensive root galling was observed on ginger plants from one commercial field in Longhai county (24°27′58.01″S, 117°39′21.68″W), Zhangzhou region, Fujian Province in July 2016.
