<title>Abstract</title> <p>Background: Identification of a BRCA mutation in a breast cancer patient provides critical information both for treatment decisions and for prevention of new cancers. In South Eastern Norway, genetic testing of the BRCA genes has been mainstreamed into breast cancer care.
