ESKAPE pathogens include Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter spp., which account for the major causes of mortality linked to the spread of infection and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) globally.
